Is The US Income Tax A Fraud? Indie Movie Investigates Truth

Is it possible that American citizens are all targets of a runaway government, intent on exerting it’s power and expressing it’s will – despite the law?
If you have been constantly watching TV news beamed out by mainstream TV networks I am sure it wouldn’t look like there is any truth in the above claims, but if your information capturing radars extend their reach into less “controlled” and “massaged” media channels, you may indeed be in for some truly startling information.
Aaron Russo has created a compelling and troubling documentary that gives the impression that the US have already moved well into the way of becoming a semi-totalitarian state while revealing US Income Tax Law startling truth.
This film is an expose of the American Internal Revenue Service, and proves conclusively that there is no law requiring American citizens to pay direct, unapportioned taxes on their labor.
The film is very provocative and so are some of the scenes included in it:
Particularly chilling is the interview with a Virginia Beach, VA family whose homes and business were raided by the IRS on mere unsubstantiated accusations; one of the many victims of authoritarian police states.
Another interview with a former IRS Commissioner who, now a high-powered D.C. attorney, can’t seem to make the connection between Supreme Court decisions on the Constitutionality of the Income Tax and how the IRS regards ‘voluntary compliance’ with a law he’s unable to articulate. Flustered, the commissioner ends the interview abruptly and asks the movie director, Aaron Russo, to leave.
Russo is a bulldog as he prowls halls of government trying to get someone to just show him the Law that says a working citizen in the United States owes an Income Tax, or just to acknowledge prior Supreme Court rulings on the subject.
Clips of press conferences and television interviews and news cuttings reveal obfuscation, saber rattling and threats but not one answer that clearly defines the Law, the statutes or the Tax obligations of American citizens.
The two major topics covered in the movie are the federal income tax and the Federal Reserve. Minor topics were the New World Order, vote fraud, education, government lies, and the police state. The ending contained a call to action that Russo promised will be significantly enhanced in the final edition.
Brooklyn-born director Aaron Russo is the one man band behind this new indie political media movie. He has created a compelling and troubling documentary that indeed gives the impression that America has rapidly become a shadow image of the democratic power it claims itself to be.
A long-time music entrepreneur, Mr. Russo began promoting rock and roll shows at local theaters while still a high school student. At twenty-four opened his own nightclub in Chicago called the Kinetic Playground and where the careers of many legendary rock performers received their initial imprimatur: one of these was the Led Zeppelin, who thanks to Aaron Russo first went to play in the US. The Who, Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane were all bands that Mr. Russo helped promote too.
Russo then got into Broadway with his seven year partnership with Bette Midler, who touched the highest peaks of her career under his management. While serving as Midler’s manager, Russo created and managed the Manhattan Transfer. Later he also added to his roster acts and personalities such as David Keith, Frederic Forest, Susan Sarandon and more.
Russo turned then to motion picture production without giving up his deep passion for rock music. “The Rose”, for which Bette Midler received an Academy Award nomination as best actress, is considered by many to be “The” classic rock n’ roll film of all time. Russo was also the producer of “Trading Places,” starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd, which has become a Christmas classic, and “Teachers,” starring Nick Nolte, Morgan Freeman, and Ralph Macchio.
To date Mr. Russo’s films have been nominated for six Academy Awards, as well as seven Golden Globes. Of these last ones he has won three Golden Globes, as well as the Image Award and a Grammy, a Tony, an Emmy for producing the best television special of the year “OL’ Red Hair is Back,” starring Dustin Hoffman and Bette Midler, and many gold and platinum records.
In 1996 Russo made also a political video entitled “Aaron Russo’s Mad as Hell“, which attracted a lot of attention.
Last but not least, you should know that Mr. Russo in 2000 run for governor of Nevada and finished second with nearly thirty percent of the vote, beating the sitting lieutenant governor. In January of 2004, he declared his candidacy for the Libertarian Party‘s nomination for President of the United States. At the Convention in May, Russo won the first two ballots, but not a majority. He was defeated on the third and final ballot.
You should expect to find “America: From Freedom to Fascism” in theaters this upcoming summer (2006). For anyone over the age of reason, including the 67 million Americans who no longer file federal income tax returns, missing this movie will be a costly mistake.
